April 13 - Safe needle disposal program - In response to the Needle Exchange Program Review (2008), the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health has joined with the Regional Health Authorities and their stakeholder partners in addressing the identified issue of discarded needles in the community by supporting safe needle disposal education.
The Prairie North Health Region is among those health authorities who host Needle Exchange Programs.

Lloydminster Streetscapes, Arts Without Borders, and the Lloydminster Farmer’s Market are presenting the 4th Annual Downtown Summer Streetfest. This Annual Festival will be held in Downtown Lloydminster on Saturday, June 8 from 10 am to 4 pm. We will celebrate with many acts, demonstrations, local entertainment and, of course, food. We will have a main stage, a cat walk, an art tour and many non-profit groups of-fering goods/services and games to enhance the experience. Each year our festival brings over 5000 people to downtown Lloydminster, with a demographic of young Lloydminster families. We are Lloydminster's largest annual street festival and growing! There are still a few parking stalls available for lease in the Streetscapes parking lot on the corner of 50th avenue and 47th street. Patrons will be billed annually by Streetscapes and must renew their lease yearly. Please note that stalls must be leased for a minimum six month period. Contact the Streetscapes office at 780-875-2520 for more information.
